Dear Chairman Lee Kun-hee!

I am Professor Valentyna Bezdrabko, and this is why I am writing you this letter:
In 2013, your company Samsung Electronics Ukraine held a contest of essays about innovation technologies in the life of people, society, state. The winner was Antonina Mykolayivna Rakhmana, a 9th grade student from a gymnasium in Novhorod-Siversky (Chernihiv oblast).
The gymnasium where the bright girl was studying was happy to get a “Future Classroom” entirely equipped at the expense of your company. Antonina was writing that soon the technologies of Samsung Electronics company will provide people who had lost organs with technical substitutes to help the disabled people come back to normal life.
The time was passing. Antonina М. Rakhmana graduated from her gymnasium with honours and became a successful student of Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, where I teach. But, unfortunately, on 16 June 2017 Antonina М. Rakhmana was tragically hit by a metro train. The girl lost 3/4 of her right leg and phalanges of 3rd, 4th and 5th fingers of her right hand.
On 16 June 2017, the doctors of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital № 17 had been operating Antonina for six long hours to bring the girl back to life. She is also going to be operated: the doctors will try to restore the moving state of her right hand. But now she badly needs prosthetics of her amputated leg to get back to life and to her university studies.
I beg you and your company, known to the whole world as a socially responsible company, to consider the material assistance for Antonina M. Rakhmana, so that her winners essay could come true today.
I also attach the abstract from medical card № 823 of patient Antonina M. Rakhmana and the list of the costs.

Yours most sincerely,
Doctor of History, Professor Valentyna Bezdrabko
