Toyota Motor Corporation
Dear Mr. Toyoda,
My name is Suzanne Stordahl. I am writing you to thank you for a car that was engineered and built with safety-conscious provisions.
I was recently traveling on Highway 29, February 18, Napa County, looking forward to visiting my daughter in Sonoma County when I was hit head on and pushed over a cliff about 100 feet by a driver that came across his lanes into my lane. A tree stopped me. I was pulled out of the car by a “good Samaritan” person who dragged me back up the cliff. I was taken to the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital Trauma Center and evaluated.
I left the hospital after about 4-5 hours with some butterfly tape on my left hand due to some lacerations incurred during the accident. My left thumb was dislocated in both joints that I had to reset twice. I had bruises on my whole body, with excrutiating pain and severe emotional injuries that I still deal with.
My brand new Toyota that I purchased in December of 2015 was totaled. I do not have a vehicle now, nor am able to purchase one, but when it is possible I fully intend to purchase a Toyota.
I wanted to thank you and extend my gratitude to the engineers and builders of Toyota for making safety a priority. I believe I am alive because of the safety features of that vehicle. I am enclosing pictures of the car and my hand.
