lashawne mcintosh sent a message to Mary Barra that said:

Ms. Mary T. Barra:
My name is LaShawné McIntosh and on December 7th 2018, I purchased a 2018 Chevrolet Cruise from Jake Sweeney Chevrolet on West Kemper road in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since February 2019, the above referenced vehicle shuts off after auto stop and won’t start back up. When an attempt is made to start the vehicle back up it makes a humming sound. Jake Sweeney made an appointment for me to drop off the vehicle to their service department on March 19,2019 and returned the vehicle to me on March 20,2019 ensuring me that the issue had been fixed and the vehicle was safe to drive.
Later that same day the vehicle shut off and was returned to Jake Sweeney on March 22,2019. I was then assured by the service department that the issue had been fixed and the vehicle was safe to drive on March 26,2019.
On April 1,2019 I was stopped at a red light on Hamilton Avenue when the auto stop function kicked on. Once the light turned green the vehicle failed to start upon the release of the break. The vehicle was promptly taken to Jake Sweeney and was kept until April 5,2019. After Jim P., The GM of Jake Sweeney, and Brian Gruel of General Motors examined the vehicle I was once again, ensured that the issue had been fixed and the vehicle was safe to drive.
On April 23,2019 I experienced the same issue and returned the vehicle to Jake Sweeney. The service team replaced the battery cable and informed me that the issue had been fixed and the vehicle was safe to drive on April 24,2019.
On May 17,2019, the vehicle shut off while I was merging onto the highway at approximately 15mph. At that time, I had my daughter in the car with me as well. You can understand my concern as the general manager at Jake Sweeney and a General Motors professional had ensured me the issue had been resolved and that the vehicle was safe to drive. I was given my vehicle back on May 29,2019 with the same promise that the issue had been fixed and the vehicle was safe to drive. As I was pulling out of the lot and entering onto the highway the vehicle stopped abruptly on the entrance ramp. These recurring issues have put me, and my families lives at risk.
At this time, I have filed a complaint with Jake Sweeney, General Motors and the BBB. I am now requesting that the vehicle be bought back and removed from my credit history in accordance with the Lemon Law. I would like to resolve this matter peaceful, however I am prepared to contact an attorney, and take the videos and work orders related to the details listed above to Channel 12, Channel 19, and Channel 5 if we have not reached a resolution by 7/1/2019.
Please feel free to contact me directly in efforts to resolve this important matter.
Thank you

LaShawne McIntosh
