Mrs. Barbara sent a message to Terry J. Lundgren- Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Macys, Inc. – email address that said:
Phone I purchased a purse for my daughter in September 2016. I was told by the man that I would receive 20% plus 20% If I opened an account with Macys. I said you mean I will receive 40% off and he said No, you will receive 20% off then off the balance another 20% off. So I opened the account. He informed me they would do so when they sent me my bill. When I received my bill, only one 20% had been given. I called and talked to a credit specialist who said it would be credited and gave me the amount to send to pay my bill in full. The next month I received a bill for 17.00 the second 20% . I wrote on the bill and told them I was supposed to have been credited for this amount. This month I received a bill for 36.00 which was the 17.00 plus 19.00 late fee. I called today and they are refusing to give me the credit now and said I would have to pay the 17.00. They took the 19.00 off. If this is the way Macy's does business, I really do not want to shop at your store. I thought you should be aware of this as it certainly is not good business.
