My name is Jeff Panzer. I\'m a new Aetna member and a physician. I take flovent for eosinophilic esophagitis. I have been on the medicine for 5 years but just received notice that Aetna will not cover the med. I required an emergent upper endoscopy when food was stuck in my throat several years ago after stopping the medicine. I spent the last 3 hours getting passed around to person after person and no one could help me. I\'m a physician and I understand my condition well. I also have studied health administration/policy and understand the need for cost control in our system. But the bureaucratic mess that I went through today reminded me of when I worked in Ethiopia for a year and had to go to 30 different windows over 5 hours to get my driver\'s license. I\'d be happy to speak with someone in more detail about my experience as this is my first month on Aetna and I am not pleased with my experience today.
