EDWARD sent a message to Hubert Joly President and CEO, Best Buy – email address that said:
Although a resident of Texas, I travelled to Minneapolis for Thanksgiving. I am a Dean of a School of Business and I am constantly looking at customer service and advertising. Your store advertised the Yogi 900 for $699.99. Indeed I had visited the store the day before to check out that particular item. I arrived at the store on Thanksgiving well in advance of the posted opening time. At no time were Blue Tickets issued for this item. Indeed the staff (they admitted they worked in the storeroom) seemed unsure of the existence of this item.
The store representative I had spoken to the day before couldn't even look me in the eye when I asked if they had any on sale at all !
It's extremely disappointing to me especially as I am a promoter of Best Buy and it's origins as The Sound of Music.
I know you know nothing of this incident and you'll have to rely on the store's management. In my experience, therein lies the key - local management.
I am giving you the facts as I observed.
I have no agenda other than as a very disappointed customer.
