Stephanie DeBerry sent a message to Jack Salzwedel that said:

I made my monthly car payment on the Amfam website. I specified which account to pay it from and they tried to take it out of an account that had been closed for 1 yr due to a divorce. After spending several hours on the phone and with my agents help, this problem got straightened out. They they insisted on charging me $25 for returned payment. Again, I specified which account to take it from, they chose to take it from another account. Again, after many hours on the phone, this got straightened out. Then my ex-husband received a check for $48.52 at his address. His address has never, ever been on my policy. Nothing else has ever gone to his address. Furthermore, his name is not on my policy. When I called to find out what this check is for they told me that my policy is lapsed due to non payment. Payment was taken from my account on December 3rd. So, my son and I have been driving around with no car insurance! Apparently, American Family Insurance has a BIG problem with incompetent employees. When I called customer service, I spoke to Becky Matthews. She was anything but helpful. She said there is nothing she can do and I will have to call my agent. Its unfortunate that American Family Insurance isn't trust worthy, and could care less about their customers.
