On 12 Aug 19, I loaned a friend, Rickey Foulkes, a sum of money to help him to buy a vehicle {1988 Dodge pickup truck} so he could continue his side work. His wife was dying of cancer {since passed away}. He had his teenage son at home, and he had lost his main job just a week before. He'd been doing our lawn work for four years. We went to American Family for his insurance.
The car dealer thought it'd be a good idea to put my name also on the title until Rick paid it off. I simply took his advice and we explained this carefully to the local agent when we got Rick's insurance. I loaned him the money for his first insurance payment {we explained the whole money situation to AF Ins.} and we bought him a new set of tires for the vehicle at Samâs Club.
Rick let his insurance payments get behind, you cancelled his policy, and I was notified Friday by âCredit Collection Servicesâ that you sent MY NAME to the credit bureau! I had explained, my wife had further explained, Rick fully explained the exact situation to your agent and he demanded in person at your office that all documentation be sent to Rickâs address, where the truck was always parked since it was Rickâs truck, I just held the paper on it.
Your employees at your office all knew exactly how this transaction had progressed. They did this anyway, even after I talked to them on the phone twice and appeared at their office in frustration, as did my wife and Rick Foulkes, more than once. All we could do.
My FICO score is more than 860, my wife's is over 840; no credit dun in more than thirty years.
I am going to make a special Facebook page {stopped Facebook years ago} to deal with this and see how many people in the world I can warn about what your company has done to my family in this case. I have all the paperwork to prove it, am retired and have the time, am kind of a crusader against this type of belligerence, am very good with computers and, being an English major, am sometimes good with words. We feel very offended by what you have done here {Rick said he was literally sick to his stomach about it} and intend to do everything possible to warn others about what we have encountered from your company through no fault of our own.
