My name is Charlene Russell and on 9.8.21 I purchased a round-trip ticket for my daughter to travel from Chico, CA to Los Angeles,CA to attend her grandmother's funeral. She did not receive an email confirmation and therefore missed her grandmother's funeral, as the drive is approximately 7 hours and she does not have a car.
This has been an extremely emotional and exhausting time for me and when I tried to get a refund explaining to the woman who I spoke with on 9.13.21 what I wrote above she disconnected the call (hung up in my face).
I am very disappointed in the customer service I received, from my daughter not receiving the email confirmation, (I repeated her email address twice to be sure the agent booking the ticket sent it to the right person), to having my call disconnected from the woman I requested a refund from today.
I need a full refund please sir, credited back to my credit card. You can rest assured Amtrak will never receive my business in the future and I will be sure to tell my coworkers, family and church family about this horrible unprofessional, frustrating experience.
My daughter is depressed now that she has missed her grandmother's funeral and this is too much to bear.
