I have made several attempts to resolve console activation issues. I\'ve been advised that you policy prevents activating a console once another console has been activated as primary and I have to wait 6 months in order to deactivate and reactivate another console.
My situation was I purchased a second PS4 console in April 2015 as a gift to my daughter for her birthday. My daughter (minor) logged in to my PSN account as she never had her own access and inadvertently activated new console as primary.
I did not find out I lost access to sub account contents on my old console until I realized what happened with new console. We lost access to content purchase using sub account which my daughter uses. After contacting Sony and was told about your policy on activation, I decided to return new unit to retailer.
I was so disappointed with the way Sony handled my request to deactivate the new console so we can use old console considering owning every Sony console in the past.
We decided to get Microsoft Xbox One and plans on cancelling all game and network subscription from Sony.
