Jeanine sent a message to William H. Rogers Jr. Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of SunTrust Banks Email Address that said:
As a professional that is highly engaged in the customer service business I thought I would share my experience with Suntrust that most likely did not live up to the standards you would like to see at your company.
I have been a long standing customer at Suntrust and over the last several months have seen a monthly maintenance fee appear on checking account and have had to call to get removed. Each time I was told that it was fixed and I should no longer encounter the issue - was supposed to have been mix up linking our accounts.
I just got off the phone and was told that the maintenance fee was accurate ($25 fee) because my combined balance had fallen to $40K from $50K minimum (wasnt aware that I had minimum). During the last month I received $.67 in interest from your bank and yet I will be charged a $25 maintenance fee. Since I can find numerous other options that would not have same constraints I will pursue other banks that may be more appreciative of the additional funding.
I was very disappointed in the service and also surprised that this was the first time explaining maintenance fee amount and not quite sure if it was changed when "fixing" connecting the accounts.
Thank you for your attention and listening to a frustrated past customer.
Regards,
Jeanine
