Zonda sent a message to Stephen Hemsley – Chief Executive Officer of UnitedHealth Group Inc. email address that said:
As I sat here wondering what had I did to be terminated from a job, that everyone said I was doing a good job at, saying that it was only the second week of training and I was really excited because things were starting to go hand in hand with the modules that we had been taken. I realize all I did was asked a lot of questions. Which is something that you are supposed to do if you are in the process of learning something total new that you've never done before. And because I asked a lot of questions along with some other people in class, I was term the second Friday of training through an email that came across my desk at 5:05 pm. So unprofessional, to let a person know that there being let go at the end of the work day through an email. But that is not why I am writing you, I have read and reread your Code of Conduct Policy over and over again. I believe that Jason Kedrowski and Kristy violated your ethics code of conduct policy. I believe that I was targeted because I asked a lot of questions and our class was the largest class that Jason had every had to teach. He was under a lot of stress, with his father having to have surgery, the hospital concierge booking him a hotel, then the hotel calling him telling him that they were over booked. So he was scrambling to find another hotel close to the hospital. Which he didn't, the original hotel was across from the hospital, the new hotel ended up being miles away from the hospital. He also had to take care of his mom who had fell down some stairs at work and broke her shoulder and neck I believe. Then he was trying to get the house set up for her so she could function in the house. He was also having problems with the internet going out in the whole state of Nebraska. He was having to drive miles to get internet connection while Kristy or Simon took over until he was able to get access to the internet again. Because he state he was in Nebraska, cornbread fed. and when the internet goes out it goes out in the whole state, because the state only has one provider. That he lives in the Dallas area but he from Nebraska. So I know he was frustrated at times, the Colorado team had a fire drill that he was not aware of and the class was waiting on them to log back in after lunch and after waiting 20 minutes he finally sent us into our break out sessions. Then the Colorado MGMT person pulled them again without telling Jay to meet a new manager and we were waiting on them again. Then one day we started off with him saying were behind, you guys are going to need to be able keep up and I'm not going to repeat myself, so you need to pay attention and get it the first time. So that made me I cant speak for no one else, scared to asked questions. Then Claudia asked a question and he repeats what he just said he wasn't going to repeat. Now I'm confused because now he's showing favoritism. he'll repeat stuff for some people with no problem, but with others there's a problem. Then when I asked a question he always take a deep breath and let it put before he answers it. you can hear it over the mic. Like I'm bothering him by asking him a question? And during training its never a straight walk through of this is how you do this, it's this, then there, then here now put the piece together. That's not really training me if you never show me the steps one time or twice in a complete steps. if your scramble them all over the place and I have to place them together of course I'm going to have questions.
I just believe I was wrongful terminated because of personal feeling coming from Jason Kedrowski and Kristy Romonski. I was grateful to get the opportunity to work for UHC, I even sent Carl Lawrence a thank you letter the day after I was termed.
