Dear Mr. King,
I have had a mortgage with BB&T for over ten years. On October 20, 2019, my house was hit by a F3 tornado. It did over $200k in damages. I have followed every step/rule that BB&T has asked me to do and as of today, your mortgage company is still holding over $120K dollars and are refusing to work with me to get the remaining portion of my house fixed. I am being told that I need to wait another 60 days, before funds can be released. THIS IS BOARDLINE CRIMINAL. I have gone as far as I can, even seeing if I can get another mortgage company to refinance the loan, just so that I can get my house fixed. I should not have to pay for everything up front and then wait to be reimbursed for work performed.
