I contacted Citizens One Auto a week ago regarding providing them with a Power of Attorney regarding my mothers loan. They refused to accept any electronic transmission of the document, demanded that it be mailed or faxed. After locating someone who still has both a land line and a fax machine.I sent the documents to them, called and they acknowledged receipt and that I had been placed on the account. Additionally despite me stating that that my mother was recovering from a major surgery, and that she had been the victim of theft via bank accounts. Citizens Refused to work with us regarding this loan, forcing us to pay this loan current. Stated that they would not accept any electronic funds due to the past due status of this account. I withdrew the full amount past due from my mothers account and drove to the nearest Citizens Bank. Went to Citizens In camp hill pennsylvania spent approximately 45 minutes while all three bank employees tried to figure out how to accept a cash payment and apply it to her loan. Numerous calls were made to Citizens One, and the end result was a refusal to accept a cash payment, and having a manager imply that I just shouldn't pay the balance as her credit is already damaged, thereby allowing the bank to take possession of the trailer, and all of the equity in the vehicle.
Your bank has refused to accept payment to bring this account current, you have refused to permit an electronic funds transfer citing you needed guaranteed funds, you told me I could take cash into the nearest Citizens Bank Location, I was likewise turned away with out any payment being accepted despite having cash, I was called into an office after 45 minutes by whom I assume was the manager anthony, and he stated that due to how late this account was that I should just not bring the account current citing it is unlikely that the vehicle would be repossessed.I stated that would be great accept there is no guarantee it wont be repossessed and that Citizens One has the title. Thereby either leaving the equity in the trailer ($10,000) to the bank or in a vehicle which could not be sold due to not having a title. After 2.5 hours wasted with a bank who has refused to accept payment in any form I called your company and again was bounced around from representative to representative again told to go back to the bank redeposit the money and call again tomorrow and that you would now accept a payment over the phone, was placed on hold then picked up by donna, who initially read from the computer all the details from the account and despite me several times trying to speak she continually cut me off refusing to allow me to speak, and then ended the call.
This is an absolute disgrace that our every attempt to notify your bank of the current situation, regarding my mothers health, financial situation, Citizens One has only served to delay the payment process by refusing electronic transmission of a POA, Refusing to permit my mother to verify the account, and notify you that it was permissible for Citizens One to discuss this account with me, and now despite arriving at your bank with cash in hand you have refused to allow us to bring this account current. This must be escalated to A vice President and You must contact me tomorrow morning by 10 AM in order to prevent further legal action against your bank.
