Deborah Valle sent a message to Jeffrey Harrold that said:
Mr. Tagsold: I have insured my vehicle through Southern Owners since 2003, 18 years. Without going into all of the details, I learned recently that I have been paying for stacked uninsured motorist coverage for this entire time. I only own 1 vehicle. I was also made aware that have stacked covered was useless to me and even had I had an accident, it would have been of no benefit. This equates to 18 years of premiums paid for something not only I did not need but wouldn't have helped should I have had an accident. I am asking for a refund of these premiums. I can assure you, I never asked for this coverage and would have only agreed to it if I was told I needed it. Until a few days ago, I didn't even know what "stacked" coverage meant. I have also been advised to file a complaint with my state's insurance commission but wanted to reach out to you before doing so. I did reach out to your corporate office and they basically blew me off telling that I should take it up with my agent. I have reached out to my agent but my agent didn't receive these premiums, Southern Owners did and I would think an underwriter would and should have spoken up advising this was coverage I shouldn't be carrying. Her response was basically too bad. Please advise.
