Back in January I ordered a set of ombre velvet pillow covers in a lavender – Laura J Alber email address

Brook sent a message to Laura J. Alber Director, President, and CEO, Williams-Sonoma that said:

Back in January I ordered a set of ombre velvet pillow covers in a lavender shade along with the inserts. Shortly thereafter I received the pillow inserts along with notification that the pillow covers were on back order until March. On March 26 I still had not received the pillow covers so I called West Elm to inquire as to the status of the pillow covers. I was told they were on back order until June. Approximately four days later I received the pillow covers in a bright blue shade. I called the company and told them they sent me the wrong item. The woman on the phone told me that it was a final sale and not returnable but she would make an exception. I tried to explain that the company, West Elm, sent the wrong item. She reiterated she would make an exception. She also told me the item I wanted was no longer available on line but I could try and find the item I wanted in one of their stores. I asked if I would have to pay the return shipping, to which she responded yes I would. Again, I tried to explain that the company sent the wrong item and I thought it was unreasonable for me to pay the return shipping. The west elm employee told me I could keep them. Any thoughts?
