Mr. Calhoun,
I attended a wonderful event in Charleston, SC where your Military Community Outreach member attended. What a wonderful idea. I understand you have several components to outreach (education, military..) I wondered if you ever considered a first responder component? I am retiring in March of 2021 with 25 years of service as a police officer and in this climate policing innovations and reform is a hot topic. Change is only made when people come together and support change.
I would like to submit to you that adding a first responder component, with the purpose of support could change the lives. Much like the veteran component Boeing could hire a former law enforcement officer to reach out to police organizations and departments as well as community resources and help provide mental health services / crisis training/ etc for first responders. The options are endless and I believe this could help change and heal or nation. Any company can write a check to a group to support a cause but to put boots on the ground to make change is something I saw with your veteran community outreach member. I would love to talk to someone and hopefully be a part of this, if this is something Boeing would consider doing.
Thank you for your time
