Luggage was accidentally left on the carousel at Barcelona airport off a flight from Ibiza on Aug. 25. My daughter and her travelling companion thought the bags would be transfered to their transatlantic flight with Air Transat but they werent. Ryanair says to call Barcelona airport lost found. Barcelona lost found says the bags would not come to them - in this type of scenario they would be picked up and stored in the Ryanair baggage area. I have spent hours going back and forth. All reps at Ryanair tell me to contact lost and found despite the fact that I continually tell them this is not the case.
The two Barcelona airport contact numbers on Ryanairs website for lost/left items: One is a fax number (I did fax them - no response), the other just rings.rings.rings.rings. - nobody answers. I also tried the Ibiza airport number. rings.rings.rings. no answer.
The Ryanair phone number that Lost Found gave me is wrong.
The Ryanair phone number the Barcelona Airport Authority gave me is wrong.
I would think this is not an uncommon thing to have happen, but I cannot believe the run around and complete lack of accurate information Ive received over the past few days. I am at my wits end. I just want to locate these two bags and arrange to have them shipped to Canada. Im hoping someone! can please help me.
