I have been a long-time client of Capital One Bank Visa and I am currently experiencing some devastating financial issues. First, I left an abusive marriage of 24 years after being the stay-at-home mom for 2 children and the divorce has drained me financially. My husband refuses to pay the debt in my name and I have been trying to keep everything current until we proceed to trial and get a final decree. As a result of this, I was late paying February and May, 2020. Then, COVID hit and my position as a hearing officer for school systems is on hold until the schools reopen. I have applied for several jobs to increase my income, but these late payments are crushing my credit score. I am asking you to please remove these late payments from my credit report so that I can be more competitive in the job and financial areas. Thank you for your consideration.
