Subject:Request regarding my Honda Pilot, purchased from AutoNation Honda
I am probably one the thousands of customers who fulfilled his dream of purchasing a new car namely ,Honda Pilot Elite, from one of the hundreds of dealerships under your flagship on April 8, 2018 (Auto Nation Honda 385 based in Memphis, Tennessee). At the time of my purchase, I did not have the choice of an Interior color, I wanted, however I went ahead since I gave my word to the dealership to make the purchase than enter a price bidding war with local competitors.
Just within a week of my purchase, the dealership procured an identical car , however with an Interior color I had desired. However since my paperwork was sent to DMV to get titled, even though I have not received it at the time of my writing, it would be considered pre-owned if they had to oblige me and do a swap. That just left me heart broken and disillusioned.
After 16 years since 2002 did I have potential savings to buy a new car and patronize your dealership which left my dreams in a flux. When my 6 year told me that "Daddy - I would love for you to buy something which all of us like , but if we don't have the extra money to spend, we can live with it until I earn", I decide to reach out to you.
For an end consumer like me, 1000$-3000$ to exchange a brand new car, just for a different interior color is an exorbitant price tag. For immigrants like us, after buying a car of your choice , after starting from career from scratch ,still remains an elusive dream which reaches a zenith because of leaders like you who support the cause.
Companies like Auto Nation thrive not because of just selling cars above invoice and making profits,but because they have visionaries and philanthropists like you who initiate missions like "DRV PINK" and believe in customer relationship as integral to the business. There is a reason why living legends like you are revered and inducted into the "Hall of Fame". Reading your bio has been very inspiring to know where we buy our auto from and the people who steer such organizations.
It is my kind and humble request to you if you can just send a word to the dealership, if as a one time exception, they can exchange my new car, for a different color of my choice. It might be a drop in the ocean seeing the big picture for AutoNation, but it goes a long way to boost your goodwill across an entire community and the new generation who grow up learning from your business philosophy .
