@CharterNewsroom – Thomas M Rutledge – My mother in law had spectrum internet installed today. The technician set up her iPad

Kathy Hadley sent a message to Thomas M Rutledge that said:

My mother in law had spectrum internet installed today. The technician set up her iPad and email and put the passwords in for her. She said that she told the man that her so. Was going to set it up for her. It seems unwise for a person to have a stranger set up their email and have access to their password .

Is this a common practice?

She did say the man told her that the company didn’t like for them to do this but that he needed to kill some time before his next appt.

(It seems that, if she told the man her son would set up, he wouldn’t have pushed that wit her.)

Then, she called this evening and wasn’t able to use her iPad because she wasn’t sure about the email.

If you could let me know if it is policy for your techs to set up a persons ipad, their email and put their passwords in, I would appreciate it.
