I have complaint regarding the billing of my Spectrum internet account; I recently replaced the Spectrum provided modem with my own modem and returned the leased modem. Spectrum will not remove the $10 / month modem lease fee from my bill. According to section 642.c.2 of HR 5035 "Television Viewer Protection Act of 2019", recently passed by congress and signed into law by the president, you as the provider, cannot legally charge me for equipment that I am not using. Spectrum has been adamant that I have to upgrade my account or they cannot remove the charge. I am getting nowhere with them so I am reaching out to you. Thanks for your attention to this issue.
