@CharterNewsroom – Thomas Rutledge – Dear Mr. Rutledge: Today I spoke to three of your billing representatives. Although my issue

Mary Olsen sent a message to Thomas Rutledge that said:

Dear Mr. Rutledge:

Today I spoke to three of your billing representatives. Although my issue may have been resolved for them, it was not resolved for me.

Last year I began Internet service with Spectrum. I had service brought to my house because we lived too far from your service. I called to inquire about the monthly service rate and was quoted a price. I do not believe I was told that this was a promotional rate that would end in 12 months. If I was told this, I was not told that the new rate would be substantially higher. If I knew that the cost in one year would be $70.99 I would not have brought the Internet to my house.

None of the three representatives ever said that they would look into this. I was told that there is no way that I could keep the rate that I was quoted because the system would not allow for that. I feel deceived by your company and frustrated that nobody would look into my case.

So I have two options: pay the $70.99 or end my service with Spectrum. I plan to keep your service but I do so begrudgingly. I wish somebody from your company would have listened to me. I am sure there are other frustrated customers like me that don’t have too many Internet provider options.

Thank you for taking the time to read my email. I hope that this helps in directing change in Spectrum’s customer service.

Sincerely,
Mary Olsen
