Irma Gonzalez sent a message to Thomas Rutledge that said:
Hello Mr. Rutledge, I trust that you are well. I am worried about your field technicians, in the midst of this coronavirus crisis. I see that your installers are still sent to enter clients' homes. Although I understand the need to continue your business, I am disappointed at the lack of empathy and concern for their well-being, on your part. I have learned of several incidents where your technicians have gone into an infected person's home, putting their life at risk, as well as other customers they visit after being exposed to the virus.
This is unacceptable, incomprehensible, and cruel. Most businesses have modified their operations, to avoid putting their employees and their loved ones at risk. We are very close to the peak of this crisis and I would kindly and strongly urge you to allow your field technicians and installers to stay home, if they have special circumstances, such as a pregnant wife, elderly parents living at home, children with special underlying health conditions, etc. I realize the government has provided for 120 hours for employees to say at home. That is 3 weeks, which some technicians, I am sure, have already used, and we have not reached the peak of this crisis. they need to be able to stay home until the government lifts the stay-at-home guidelines. In this difficult time for us all, show some humanity and consideration. I can assure you, it will pay off. And you will feel you have done your part to help get through this burden we are all carrying, in having to worry about getting infected and infecting our loved ones with this invisible enemy. PLEASE, let the field technicians with special circumstances STAY HOME and not risk other customers', theirs', and their loved ones' lives. God Bless, take care, be well, and may your loved ones stay safe.
