@CharterNewsroom – Thomas Rutledge – I have been a customer of Spectrum, formerly Time-Warner, for 6 years. I called this

I have been a customer of Spectrum, formerly Time-Warner, for 6 years. I called this past Monday as my internet had slowed considerably. I was given an appointment for Wednesday, May 1. The tech arrived at 2:30 p.m. and after almost two and a half hours couldn't find the problem. I had slow service on my PC, tablet and streaming TV. He did speedtests time after time and got 117 download on HIS handheld gadget, however MY equipment showed anywhere from 29 to 50. I left the room for a few minutes only to return and find him trying to download updates for my PC's drivers. I asked him why he was doing this and that was NOT part of his job to download any software onto my equipment without permission. The router was switched out to no avail. He said he would have his supervisor contact me the next day. A few minutes after he left I drove out to get some takeout food as he had been there so long. I was met on the street by another Spectrum vehicle driven by an African-American man. He stopped me and said he was the supervisor. I said I was leaving but would be back in 15 minutes. He said no problem and he would call the next day. When I came back 15 minutes later both the tech and the "supervisor" were standing in the street near my house talking. Then they left. I have never seen or heard from this "supervisor." It is now 2 days later. What kind of service is this? I pay for high speed internet and don't receive it. Apparently the local repair people don't care. I am also concerned about your employees downloading software onto computers that do not belong to them.
