@CharterNewsroom – Thomas Rutledge – I'm reaching out in kind of a sense of desperation. My Spectrum service is set

James Tussey sent a message to Thomas Rutledge that said:

I'm reaching out in kind of a sense of desperation. My Spectrum service is set to be cut off tomorrow. This will cause a great burden to me, since I am working from home. I am trying to figure out a way to do this without my home service, if I must, but I don't know if I can. And I can't really be away from work for what would effectively be the rest of the week.

I tried to explain this to the support representatives I spoke to. I spoke to three separate agents, ending up at a manager. None of them seemed to have any interest in helping at all; they all kept falling back on this explanation that it was out of their hands.

I believe my request is reasonable: I just need to get paid, on Friday, to pay the amount to keep my service on. Two days. But no one was able to help.

Spectrum/Charter has made a big deal about how it will help its customers through the COVID-19 pandemic. But I am told that ended on June 30. The pandemic is still going on.

I just wanted to bring this to your attention, somehow. I'm in a bit of a rough spot now, but this will clear, and when it does, I'll have to rethink my options for internet, because Spectrum just feels like a company I do not want to do business with.

Thank you for your time.
