Dave Damp sent a message to Thomas Rutledge that said:
In light of all our nation is doing to ameliorate the effects of the coronavirus, (ie: asking people to stay work from home, shutting down venues where people congregate, and promoting self quarantine) what is your company doing to help the nation?
I would imagine that you have stringent guidelines in effect to protect your employees, especially those that interface with the public. My heart goes out to them and I wish them well.
But what about helping those who are helping by self quarantining themselves, or they are just stuck at home because their workplace is shut down, or they have to stay home because their children's school is out?
Here is an opportunity for you and your company to be civic minded and help provide entertainment for those now at home. I would suggest that your company provide premium channels to your subscribers, at no cost to them, during this national emergency. You might even forgive the cost to those who have subscribed to those channels during this same time period.
If you need a reason beyond the fact that this is the right thing to do, I would imagine that the public relations benefits for Spectrum would be profound once this emergency has ended and things start to get back to normal.
Thank you for your consideration of this suggestion,
Mr. Dave Damp
