Mr Rutledge,
My wife and I lived in Springhill Fl. for 30+ years and have recently returned. While away we had satellite tv and decided to try cable for awhile and I'm sorry to say,are very disappointed. Here are some of the reasons why. One is there are just way too many buttons on the remote and the fact you HAVE to point the remote DIRECTLY at the DVR and most times push the buttons several times is annoying. Also why are there so many duplicate channels ( sunhd is 86 and 117) ? How confusing. Another nice feature would be a whole home DVR to record and watch recorded shows from other rooms and the fact you can only record one show while watching another is old technology. Also I am a hockey fan and purchased NHL center ice but that also is a big disappointment; you don't have the option of choosing which broadcast city to watch and why are non HDgames listed in the 700 numbers and the HD games listed in the 1800's.
In closing, we see all these ads for Spectrums great technology ( traffic control, high speed communications etc.) but you still have 1980's cable service, how sad. I think my wife and I will seriously consider going back to satellite, despite it costing a little more the service is what we feel is technology for this day and age.
