I have been a loyal card member of CitiBank (The Children\'s Place# 6011644334779716) since the opening of my account in July 2013 and couldn’t be happier. You have always offered some of the best products and discounts that have allowed me to afford wonderful clothing for my 3 children over the last few years.

Unfortunately, I failed to submit my monthly payment on time in September 2015 due to multiple hospitalizations over the last two months. There was no way for me to make payments while under doctor’s care.
I fully respect my obligations with Citibank and have worked diligently to amend my relationship with you by regaining your trust. A brief look at my account will reveal I have successfully always made on time payments since opening my account with you over 2 years ago. Since this unfortunate experience occurred, I have set up scheduled upcoming payments to ensure this will never happen again.

I am currently seeking to close on my first home for my children and I. The all american dream! I was amazed at the effects of what being late had on my FICO Score. As you may know, FICO scores really impact the success of home ownership. It truly has for us.

I am requesting that you give me a second chance at a positive credit rating by revising the late payment as reported on my three major credit bureau files (Experian, Transunion, and Equifax). I sincerely hope Citigroup believes in their customers and I humbly request your consideration to allow me to complete the purchase of a new home for my family. I appreciate your time and look forward to receiving a favorable decision from your department soon.

Sincerely,
Shamika Thompson
