Robert sent a message to Michael O’Leary – CEO, Ryanair – Email Address that said:
Complaint about hire car company that I used through Ryanair.
Mr O'Leary I think your company is exceptional and understand that delays are unfortunate for customers and staff alike. I applaud you and your staff.
So I write this quick e-mail to let you know that when I hired a car through your companies web page I believed I would get an excellent service since you have obviously screened these companies as they are representing your company as much as themselves. My complaint is I bought Insurance on-line when I hired the car but when I got to Alicante Firefly a subsidiary of Hertz informed me that the insurance I had purchased through your company was of no use to me in Spain. They then showed me a extensive list of prices I would have to pay if I failed to take their insurance out Example Euros 250 for a tyre puncture etc. I am in dispute with them at the moment. However I thought you may like to know that this company seem to me to be exploiting their arrangement with your fine company. I am not sure if you have a section that visit as customers to check on these companies but think it would be wise to find out if they are being underhand in their scare mongering tack ticks to sell their own secondary insurance to your customers who are obviously already covered by AXA. Is it not illegal to have two insurance companies covering the same car/object? Thank you for your precious and busy time. I do hope you find some time to reply.
Many Regards
Rob
