I find your face mask policy a violation of personal rights and nonsensical and based on opinion and NOT science. Your policy is NOT in the name of health and well-being for the people you serve or for your employees. It seems you need to do a lot more reading on this matter. I will provide some reading material for you to start with and hope you will consider changing your policy to a voluntary policy vs. a mandatory policy, as that is the Amercian way! Choice! Freedom!
I've been a loyal customer of Costco for 20+ years and will be cancelling my membership due to the draconian and nonsencial policy. If folks want to wear a mask, they should if they feel that keeps them safe, however you should not be mandating customers nor employees to wear masks. Also, there are certain folks who are covered under ADA and cannot wear a mask due to a physical or mental disability. You don't seem to want to let the public know these folks are EXCEPT under the law from wearing a mask. You need to let you employees know so that when people show their doctor's note or their execmption status they are allowed in the store.
