Elena Villani sent a message to Craig Jelinek that said:
Dr. Mr. Jelinek,
Until Jan 6 2016 I was the Sales Auditor for the Holbrook location. A position I held for 23 1\2 years. I am writing to you to tell you why I left. I am a diabetic. Have been for 18 years. I have served under many excellent managers and a few shifty ones. I served under Yoram Rubanenko and Bart Bartoldus. Two of the hardest and I survived and prospered. My last was Larry Resnikoff and what a ride that was. He came in and immediately alienated everyone, but I told them to be patient, he will change. Well he didnt. He was the same snot nosed brat from 23 years ago as a front end supervisor. Well cut to the chase, he talked to me about my and Joyce Cancellieri's FMLA and then one day, out of the blue, came into the office and said "Ellen, if you would lose some weight your diabetes would be gone". I was dumbfounded. It was like being young and harrassed by my Mom about it. It brought back bad memories since my mother passed 2 years prior. I went into his office and told him he was wrong, that I lost 60 lbs when my mother died and he disregarded me. Well, I got a lawyer to sue. But it's not Costco's fault except for promoting such an ass. And I lost my case. But I'm the intern a whole lot of misinformation was given by Cheryl Pietras of my work performance. I loved my company and my job. It wasn't fair that I was constantly being brought to the front end. My legs hurt so I would complain. Here's my suggestion to you, limit the hours borrowed help was on the front end. Not open ended but maybe a max of two hours. I was used as a merchant and the front end with two hours teaming to do sales audit! Anyway, I was devoted. Bc of Costco I owned a home and drive a Mercedes. I was in charge of the employee club, events and employee morale. I have been retired for almost three years, collect disability and am immovable. I miss Costco and still am proud of it. I don't ship bc I have no membership and cannot afford it but I would like for you to get more involved in the employees and kiss Hiram Rubanenko for me, he is a great man and leader and I will always remember him.
