Good morning and hoping you are well. I have been a member of Costco for over a decade and have always promoted your club for the quality products and services offer. I have recently used your travel agency, and I am unhappy with the outcome. I am planning to go to Switzerland next summer and has been working with the agent, Priscilla Malagon. During our several conversations, she did not mention that the quoted price was for land only. We talked about the Costco discount and the need to pay by a certain date in order to retain the Costco discount. I made my down payment and even at that time she did not mention that this price is for land only. I called to make the final payment was told that the trip will cost my husband and I an additional $3000 for airfare and as a result the total trip will cost approximately $8000. I cannot, cannot, cannot afford this additional expense at this time. If I had know this information, I would not have made the reservation. I have asked for a full refund of my deposit so that I could go with another company that is cheaper. I am told that I cannot get a full refund will have to go thru my insurance carrier and a representative of the insurance carrier told me that I could get a coupon to use with Trafalga in the future. Also, for your information I purchase the travel insurance through your company. I will never, never do business with Trafalga again, so that coupon will be useless. One of the representatives at your travel agency told me that at the bottom at one of my emails between Priscilla and me there is a statement about air. I did not see that statement. Also, for your information, if you look at the website of other travel agencies that offer similar packages, it is clearly highlighted that the price is for land only or air and land.
I am hoping that we can come to an amiable resolution to this issue.
