david robinson sent a message to Craig Jelinek that said:
Mr. Jelenik, As a long time and satisfied member of Costco I would like your opinion regarding the following comment. Recently Costco began to enforce a policy that only members of Costco are able to purchase items from the food court. I appreciate the food and price levels available at the food court. However, as you are well aware the Covid 19 pandemic
has resulted in millions of people losing employment, businesses, and dramatically increased the number of food insecure people in our great nation. In addition, the homeless community and low income families who were able to purchase food from food courts to sustain feeding themselves and loved ones can no longer look to Costco as a means of food assistance. Unless it would be cost prohibitive would it be possible for Costco to suspend the requirement of membership to purchase food until this nation recovers from the ongoing pandemic and the devastating effect it has affected the economy and the ever increasing unemployment rate. Thank you for your consideration and wishing you and your family good health and safe Holidays
