@CSX – Michael Ward – A train was again parked and blocking access to our facility and the Baltimore County

Hawkeye Construction, LLC sent a message to Michael Ward that said:

A train was again parked and blocking access to our facility and the Baltimore County pumping station facility this morning at crossing 140833J in Rosedale, MD. There are more than 75 people working out of this location providing emergency services to low income and elderly people across the state of Maryland. Without access to our vehicles and equipment we are not able to respond to the emergency service requests sent to us by the State of Maryland. We are being told consistently the reason the train is stopping is to swap out crews. I am sure there is somewhere else they can exchange crews. As this has been a location for accidents in the past due more than likely to people trying to beat the train to keep from being blocked in/out I would think CSX would follow a simple procedure and not park a train in front of the crossings.

We cannot have this crossing blocked for long periods of time. In the past there have been trains parked across this crossing for up to 3 hours. Please have the trains stop either before or after the crossing, not blocking it with couple of cars.
