Veronica McNicol sent a message to Daniel Schulman that said:
Hi Mr Schulman
Well where to start? I noticed 2 pay pal notifications for purchases this morning totalling over £1000.00. When I tried to get into my account I couldn't, it has obviously been hacked and changes had been made to my log in. I have spent the last 5 hours emailing ,messaging and calling your team to help me to cancel and close this account. I have gone from automated messages on Facebook, and on the live chat, to messenger. I have called to have the call disconnected before speaking to someone.
If you company does not take fraud seriously and try to help your customers then I'm afraid to say it should be investigated for financial incompetency.
In comparison I made one call to American express where my paypal account was linked and within 2 minutes I was reassured anxiety gone and money refunded instantly.
However it sickens me to know that a criminal activity has taken place within your business with my details and that no one in any of your contact touch points cares.
I will be highlighting to as many people as I can that if they chose to shop using paypal, it is a gateway to criminals and no one will help the customer base. I will also go to bde tonight wondering if they can use my personal information elsewhere and destroy an excellent law abiding credit history
