I have been a paypal/paypal credit user for many years. I have been quite pleased with the services up until recently.

For planning and cash flow purposes I have always appreciated the same as cash periods offered on purchases as it enabled me to do things I know when and how I could repay them.

I recently paid for 2 purchases using paypal credit. Prior to either one I called customer support to verify that they would indeed qualify for such treatment. 1 was for $2200 which completed the purchase of a Wheaten Terrier puppy from Maddox Wheatens in Indiantown, Florida. The other was for an immune system supplement from Pulse Nutrition out of North Carolina. That one was for $210.

Upon checking my statement, both charges were not applied as I was told in advance by customer support they would be. May I note that had I been informed otherwise, the purchases would not have been made with PayPal. They were charged as cash advances with no promotional period consideration.

Today I'm informed that regardless of misinformation given, there is no redress available. I spoke with both a customer service representative and her supervisor.

The supervisor advised me that even if it was elevated to another level for review, there was no possibility of correcting. Very disappointing and frankly not credible.

If PayPal indeed has no ability to remedy a harm caused by it's employee, no one able to make an executive decision to do the right thing, then I don't need to be doing business with PayPal.

My injury will occur on March 6th if not rectified sooner. I would like to hear before the 5th so I can address the problem on or before the 6th.

If it is indeed true that there is no redress, then on 3/6 I will pay the non-promotional balance of approximately $2500.00 with a credit card. pay off the remaining promotional balances on their due dates, and cancel my PayPal account.
