Hi my name is Tammie & I am a first time mother to a happy & healthy now 11month old baby boy so with that being said you could imagine how often I find myself shopping @T-R-U & B-R-U both in-store & online. Now, over a year ago when me & my fiance received the great news learning that we were expecting one of the 1st things that crossed my mind was how exciting it was going to be to go and set up my baby registry, after baby names of course, I didn\'t have a hard time deciding on where to register because everyone knows Babies R Us is the place you go. After registering and with our due date creeping up (Dec. 7th 2014) my fiance started planning my baby shower which was held on November 8th of last year but before he decided on a venue I told him to make sure he didn\'t go crazy on venue rent that I rather save money that way we could go and purchase which ever items on my registry we weren\'t gifted so he agreed. The day of my baby shower I was shocked when I arrived @ this restaurant called Georgine\'s where it was being held one reason was because I knew that the place he rented was more on the pricey side & another reason it being my dad\'s favorite restaurant in which he passed away in a tragic accident the year before do to a drunk driver speeding over a 100mph, so for me it was a very special day in more ways than one. With family & friends celebrating this special occasion with us I thought the day couldn\'t get any better until guests started telling me that they wanted to buy me my co-sleep or carseat but all my big ticket items were bought off my registry and they were bought within the 1st month of me setting it up but the odd thing was that none of the gifts there were big enough to be a big ticket item. After my shower and unpacking the car I said Hmm...that\'s weird, I didn\'t open one big ticket item today but then I thought maybe they are being shipped to me which makes sense but after a week goes by i still didnt recieve any packages so I then called the store and explained what was going on. The lady I spoke with said that all my big ticket items were bought and they could be being delivered, for me to wait another week or 2 and if I didn\'t receive anything to call back. I asked my fiance if he spent more than we discussed on my baby shower which he did bc he said "Once I seen that all of our big items were bought I figured we wouldn\'t have to save as much money to go purchase it ourselves so I decided to put more money into making your shower as nice as possible" which made sense so I said OK n went on waiting for our baby items to be delivered but the only thing that showed up in a week & a half was my bathtub & space saver highchair so I called B-R-U back n they had me come into the store to go over a few things to try and figure out where my gifts were. They explained to me that they had to be in the mail or whoever purchased the items must still have them because no one other than myself could remove them from my registry unless it was bought and a receipt is produced and the only person that could call and make any changes would be myself and even then for security purposes they will end the call and call you on the # you provided on your registry form so they are sure its the right person they are speaking with I was told this is B-R-U & T-R-U POLICY! Once we went and sat down with the store an hour after we arrived they figured out that 1. There were 7 big ticket items marked as purchased on my registry 2. 4 items were purchased from Bristol, PA, 2 items from Phila., PA @the Arimingo Ave store & 1 item from the store in Cherry Hill, NJ 3. All the items were purchased on the same day I believe the date was Oct. 3rd 2014 4. There wasn\'t a receipt for any of the items 5. Nobody knew who purchased the items, how they were paid for or where the items were. After sitting in the store for a few hrs being 9months pregnant and very upset because no one could tell me exactly what was going on we were told that they found out who was working on the register that particular day but unfortunately she wouldn\'t be back at work for a few days but they\'ll give us a call once they spoke with her about the issue oh they also told us to go to the store on Arimingo Ave. to see who was working there on the day everything was supposedly bought. A few days later I get a phone call from B-R-U, the store in Bristol telling me that they spoke with the girl that was working that day and at first she had no reckalection of anything then she remembered that a lady called the store explaining that she was a family member of mine, she bought me some gifts but forgot to tell the girl working that they were items from a baby registry and to update the registry marking the items bought and then she said it\'s store POLICY that she can\'t mark them purchased unless she came back into the store with her receipt for proof of purchase well the lady told her some sob story about how she\'s an older lady and has medical problems of some sort, how it was gonna be difficult for her to make the trip to the store needless to say the girl working went against store policy, over the phone, no receipt, no proof of purchase, no proof of this persons identity and went into the computer marking 4 items on my registry as purchased 1. Crib/bedding set $100+ 2. Bumper set $50+ 3. Crib mattress $100 4. Glider/Ottoman $200.
