Melanie sent a message to Brian C. Cornell Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Target Corporation – email address that said:
Dear Brian,
I am a faithful shopper of target. And I hate to bother the CEO with this issue I had to deal with today. I am a parent who is still looking for hatchimals for my two children and look on targets website everyday and call all the time. I seen the local target(Deptford, NJ) had limited stock, once again I call the store and spoke to Anita(operator). She informed me that they DO have the hatchimals and are not releseing them until Sunday. She was short with me and did not give me any other information. I tried calling guest relations through the number and the two different gentlemen I spoke too could not help me and did not know who I should talk to. All I wanted was to understand why they aren't be sold until Sunday, It's only Wednesday. So I decided to call back to the Deptford, NJ store and speak to a manager. Once again, Anita answered the phone and I asked to speak to a manager. After about a two minutes wait a guy answered the phone "This is Matthew." Never did he say he was a store manager, assistant manage, support manager..nothing. I Had to ask if he was a manger, he said he was. To be honest, I don't even know for sure if he was. I asked him about the hatchimals, and he told me that the store does not have them and are hoping to get them in for Sunday. So I asked why was I told that the store does have them but not being released until Sunday. He couldn't answer me this. I explained t him that if Anita was telling me they do have them but not releasing them until Sunday, she has tp be telling other people this too and he needs to go speak to her. So, I don't know if the store has them or not. Again sorry for bother you with this issue, but I used to work for walmart many many years ago and I work for a Hospital now and this was very poor customer service that I had today. All I wanted to know about the hatcimals. Thank you for taking your time to listen to me.
