Mara sent a message to Dan Schulman – President and CEO of PayPal – Email Address that said:
Dear Dan,
I'm a longtime Paypal customer and fan with many hundreds of past transactions.
While I know that you are certainly not interested in claims from unhappy Ebay buyers, I thought you might want to know why I will no longer choose Paypal and just use my Master Card in the future.
I recently filed a claim for a computer that the seller described it as 100% perfect, like new, no issues whatsoever. It ran extremely hot from day one (I wrote to the seller, afraid of fire, who just said to turn it off when not using!) and then, two months later, stopped working altogether and cannot be fixed by Apple.
I filed two claims with Paypal and was turned down on both. I am stuck with a $400 dead computer.
Really unhappy that Paypal does not offer the kind of consumer-centric service that I get from Amazon, a company that really cares about its customers.
Unless your policy becomes more supportive of buyers in the future, Im gone for good. Its a shame, because Paypal is so quick and easy.
But right now I feel ripped off by both the seller AND Paypal.
Sincerely,
Mara
