Joao sent a message to Dan Schulman – President and CEO of PayPal – Email Address that said:
Dear Dan,
Sure this message will end up unread in the trash bin, but here it goes!
Some months ago I opened a dispute with a seller. That dispute was closed after about 1 week without nobody from PayPal caring about read my messages/instructions. Due to that, I opened a dispute with PayPal looking for answers and the only answer I got was to have my account blocked!!!
This is the worst service I ever got and till today nobody from PayPal could clearly explain why my account was blocked and I'm still waiting for a reply to my initial complain!
I got two different replies from PayPal with the reason for my account to be blocked as follows:
1) I moved country and can't do it!!! This is strange as there is a single User Agreement for European Union countries and the account was open in Portugal and I'm now in Ireland, so both are European Union countries with the same User Agreement. Besides that, the EU rules dictate a free movement of people and goods, so by blocking my account PayPal isn't following the EU rules and with that committing an illegality. If there were two different UA or if there was something written on the UA saying that I can't move country, I'll accept this, but till now PayPal was unable to present where this is written, so this excuse is not a valid one and this is just a way PayPal found not to reply to my initial dispute on why my case was closed without nobody reading my messages/instructions.
2) Second reason was that I've made a fraudulent or high risk operation! Again, PayPal says it without presenting any evidences! This can be considered crime of defamation!
Is time for PayPal to be professional and reply once and for all with clear answer, pointing to where on the UA states that I can’t change country. I also expect PayPal to present evidences on where I committed a fraud or high risk operation or if there are no evidences that PayPal excuses himself for his words. Finally I want a clear answer on why PayPal closed my initial dispute without reading my messages/instructions.
I’m not asking nothing extraordinary. I’m just asking for clear answers and to be treated with the respect I deserve as a client.
