Jay sent a message to Gary C. Kelly Chairman, President, and CEO, Southwest Airlines Co. that said:
Dear Gary,
I would like to report a scam. Please blacklist the person who made the reservation if possible to avoid future victims and if possible, close a loophole in the southwest reservation system.
I responded to an ad for southwest green pass on craigslist. Keith, resident of Oakland, CA replied he's out of green passes at the moment but he can do any domestic booking for very reasonable price. He asked $400 per ticket for a roundtrip ticket SFO-SJU March26-April 2. We negotiated to $300. We met at Starbucks, Pleasant Hill, CA. He made the reservation by calling over the phone. While he was on the call, he gave me the reservation confirmation number, I looked up the reservation right there, and gave him $1200 cash. Kieth didn't mention me needing any passes to fly. I was thinking with the reservation confirmation, I would be able to fly. Now, another person's post on craigslist alerted me about this person making nonrev reservation which require me carry green pass to board the flight. So, I called southwest to confirm that this is nonrev flight and I would need to carry green pass to board the flight. The scammer, Keith (not sure it's his real name), now not responding to my requests.
Thank you!
Jay
