My name is Matt and work for an auto dealership in New England.
We strive to give our customers the best buying and ownership experience possible. A crucial part of doing this involves making sure their insurance is changed over.
While most (if not all) insurance companies are delightful to work with, Progressive lacks in this department and makes the change very difficult.
Typically, we can call any other insurance company, give them all of the necessary information, and all that is left is a phone call from the insurance company to the insured to confirm.
With Progressive, this is not the case. Every time we call, Progressive will not take any information, thus making it very difficult for the customer, and for the dealership.
Please consider a new policy that will allow ALL of the necessary information (lien address, VIN #, fax #, etc.) to be written down when we call. That way, all that will be left is a short phone call to confirm.
I hope this reaches the appropriate person and a change is made.
