I would like to start off by saying hello to you and the Family. What to say when writing the CEO of Walgreens is beyond me, especially when I am like most people asking for support in a cause that is very important to me. However, I hope that my cause will become important to you, like it is to me.
My name is William, the CEO of the newly founded Blu-Day a Non-Profit Foundation. My mission is to bring awareness to the International Day of Peace, which is on September 21. I will start this mission in my home city of Chicago, Illinois. Being a native Chicagoan, I observed the continuous escalations of crimes and murders in the city of Chicago and others cities throughout our great nation. And, I want to bring a greater awareness of the importance of peace to the world.
A little about me, I was born and raised on the south-side of Chicago and graduated from Chicago Vocational High School. I joined the United States Navy in 1997, where I served three tours, receiving an honorable discharge in 2013. During those tours I experienced many things, but nothing I have seen compares to the unnecessary violence I witness daily in my home country. I am making a conscious effort to bring peace to the world for one day. So I have started Operation Blu-Day.
Operation Blu-Day is on a mission to have people across the world acknowledge the International Day of Peace by wearing a sky blue shirt. The purpose is for people of the world to unite on September 21, 2016, by wearing a sky-blue colored shirt to demonstrate unconditional peace to one another and participate in a walk for peace. Sky blue is not a color related to any race. Blue is the color of the sea and the sky, which connects the whole world. I am requesting, that you and your family will join and sponsor and support the mission. We are planning to have a walk for peace in September 21, 2016 in Chicago.
The Blu-Day foundation will donate a percentage of the proceeds to Chicago Harper High School. This is where I intend to promote the mission of the Blu-Day Foundation in Chicago and, ultimately, the rest of the world. If you choose to support this mission if would be a great help in aiding the Blu-day foundation is bringing awareness to this day and having world-wide walks on this day.
