Dear Jack,
I am writing you because on June 15, 2017 my husband, Michael Minihane, was rear ended at a stop light in Norridge by one of your insured motorists that has you policy. Our SUV is a 2017 Honda crv 2017 that was 8 days old with less than 800 miles. The claim number for this accident is 01-000-028652. We called immediately that day to report this car crash to insurance. Your insured motorist admitted fault to the car crash. Then we researched and reviewed auto body shops to have the work done to perfection because this vehicle was purchased for my daughter who will be receiving her license this August. We have been going in circles and I am frustrated with trying to have the work approved to our satisfaction and standards. They will not approve for a new hatchback because they said that a FILLER to fix the dent is sufficient to patch the dent. This hatchback will be opened and closed alot. The autobody shop said that it will chip and have problems. I bought a new car not a used car and I want this car with NEW replacement parts or I can give you a receipt and show that I purchased a new car or your other option would be to give me the EXACT NEW CAR . I did speak to a Sarah actually took my call after 18 min on hold today and that she didnt understand why they wont approve new parts. When the glen auto body shop asked joe if he had a brand new car and it was damaged what what he want and he said with NO hestiation to have brand new replacment parts. BUT he stated he wouldt because of the rules and red tape. I am writing to you because we are frustrated with these answers and the long holds for trying to talk to a LIVE person. I have been extremely patient but I am frustrated with your company. I read your bio and I am impressed on what you have been doing to improve the company and how you are reaching out to social media.
Thank you
