Dear Lee Kun-hee,Hello. I am Mina Akhyani, an Iranian customer of Samsung products. I – Lee KunHee email address

Mina Akhyani sent a message to Lee Kun-Hee Chairman, Samsung email address that said:

Dear Lee Kun-hee,

Hello. I am Mina Akhyani, an Iranian customer of Samsung products. I already have purchased a Galaxy Tab S3 on Jun 25th, 2017 that comes with an insurance from Hamahang group which is the Samsung official agency for sales and after-sale services in Iran. This insurance covers the physical damages. The payment percent for customer and company is 40 and 60, respectively.

Last month I had an accident and the tablet faced some problems as listed below:
1. The glass on LCD broke but the display worked fine (no dark pixels).
2. The housing damaged.
3. The rear camera could not focus anymore.

I sent it to the factory to estimate the damage cost and decide whether to change or repair the product. They told me the the details of cost estimation on the phone. Below you see the detailed price (unfortunately, they didnt send me an official letter for the costs):

- Changing Touch LCD: 357.8$ (16,000,000 IRR)
- Changing Housing : 156.5 $ (7,000,000 IRR)
- Changing rear camera : 35.8 $ (1,600,000 IRR)

I searched about the price for the rear camera and it was only 12.04$, so I become doubtful about the price they have told me. Furthermore, as you can see the total cost for repair is 550.1$ that equals to 70% of a new device in Iran store. Considering such a high repair cost, its meaningless to repair the device and it must be changed as the insurance supports both repair and change.

I hope this email finds you well. I would be glad if I can have your points on this issue and see whether this official agency does his best job, both on cost estimation and the final decision.

Best Regards,
Mina
