Judy sent a message to Arne M. Sorenson – President and Chief Executive Officer of Marriott International, Inc. – Email Address that said:
Dear Madam or Sir.
I am writing to you in reference to my ownership. At this point in time I am very unhappy with Marriott Vacation Club.
I have been an owner for over nine years. I feel like all your company cares about is money and not the owners.
My husband and I have recently come to hard times. His business to a turn for the worse and we had to sell some of the time shares. At this time in our lives we are having financial difficulties.
I called the vacation club back in August and was told that I could turn the silver week in by the end of the year and not have to pay the maintenance fees for the following year.
I have tried to sell the silver week in St Thomas on the market and nothing is selling at this point.
Approximately a month ago I called back the vacation resale department and was told that your system just recently changed and I would have to pay the maintenance fees. I ask when this changed and the customer service agent mention right after I called in August.
The silver week in St Thomas is not selling at this point, so are only option is turning it back to you. Which in turn you will resell and I am sure make another $20,00.00 dollars on the sale.
I cant not believe this is how you are doing business with your owners. I have over the years highly recommend Marriott to other family member and friends. At this point, I would not recommend Marriott at all.
I would like to see are Maintenance fee for 2017 in the silver week waived.
Please advise.
