MARTINE sent a message to Mark Fields President and Chief Executive Officer of Ford Motor Company email address that said:
Dear Mark Fields,
I like Ford. I live in Los Angeles. I bought a used 1997 RV Class C Tioga Montara 22.6 ft with a Ford E350 V10 chassis.
I was looking at the European RVs which are so much better built, also using Ford Engines. Their styling is more functional and nodern than current RVs being produced in Indiana, USA,. Why can't we make an RV in the US that is as smart as the Ford engine based Chausson 610 Flash? It is also 22 ft long, but so much better designed. Please if you have any influence with Fleetwood, Winnebago, Itasca, Thor, etc, suggest this to them. We need more Euro styling in all our vehicles. My son bought the Ford C Maxx because it looked European with its sleek instrument panel dashboard. What would it cost to transfer these design features to the trucks and RVs? Please hire some Italian, Swedish, Scandanavian designers to help the USA overcome its heavy, clunky appearance on vehicles. The RV interiors especially are so horribly midwestern and ugly!!! We have to evolve from this quagmire of bad design. My Ford truck interior (part of RV) is very poorly designed with no cubby holes to put papers, or sunglasses, or even a decent cupholder. By contrast, my Toyota Yaris is a gem with lots of interior nooks and lovely dashboard.
Please do your bit to change the look of cars in the US. I like Ford very much and prefer it to all other US brands.
Thanks for listening!
