Debbie sent a message to Mark Fields – President and Chief Executive Officer of Ford Motor Company email address that said:
Dear Mark - I have grown up a Ford girl my whole life and have no plans to buy anything else. However, I purchased a 2014 Limited Expedition two years ago and I have to say there is a serious design defect with the carriage around the drivers seat. It is supported with plastic clips. I have had to replace it twice under warranty and now it has broke again. I had a 2003 Expedition for 11 years and never had any such issues. I would have a hard time believing I am the only customer having issues with this part. I would not think it is up to Ford's quality to have to replace this part almost once a year. I would like to hear your take on this and if there is anything you can do as I know this will not be the last time this happens during my lifetime of this car. I even had the service rep at my dealership say, yeah this is a bad design we are replacing these all the time. Can you please help? Thank you and I hope you have a great day!!
