Mr sent a message to Matthew S. Levatich – President and Chief Executive Officer of Harley-Davidson, Inc. – Email Address that said:
Dear Matthew,
I would be pleased if you would investigate the following transaction. We placed an order on 6 May 2016 for 2 shirts and two champagne flutes(£93.96) to be sent from Bowker Preston by your Jane Bennett, in the UK to our good friend in Australia for his 60th Birthday. The following day we agreed the postage £28.58 The parcel was to go out on Tuesday 10th May leaving plenty of time approx 2 weeks to arrive. The arrangements and the attention to detail left us feeling confident that all would go well. Our account was debited on the 9th for the good and the p+p.
The day after our friends birthday 26May 2016 I received a call from Abigal, from Bowker Preston UK informing me that the goods had not been sent, the goods had not been packaged and that we had not paid for the whole consignment. I was shocked at this point. My priority was that the goods were despatched and after several days the accounts department were able to confirm that we had indeed paid for everything. The good left for Australia on 31st May and are still in transit. What is most disappointing is that John whose birthday it was has treated us to two trips to the US, took me to your NY and Vegas HD stores buys a New or classic Harley each year and it appears that we couldn't even organise a gift for him to arrive on time, in monetary terms that is priceless. I would say that delivery fell short of expectation and I would expect that this is refunded and that as a good will gesture you could forward a suitable piece of memorabilia which has some intrinsic value to a wealty 60 year old motor cyclist so that I can take it to him when we meet them in July this year.
Kind regards
Gary
